Is Nofollow Directory Useless?

The debates on Google’s Nofollow tag will go on and on – many claims that nofollow tag gives no value whatsoever to Google. But is that really the case? Is it really useless submitting your site to nofollow directories?

The short answer is: NO. It is NOT useless submitting your sites to get backlinks from nofollow directories. The thing is, nofollow tag DOES pass some PageRank value to the destination URL.

Nofollow tag DID block a link to get link juice from the referring site, but it’s no longer today – it’s probably a well-kept secret that even SEO experts don’t realize.

According to this article, Nofollow tag’s role is changed in Google’s effort to fight “PageRank sculpting” – using nofollow tags strategically to get the most PageRank for a site.

So if you think getting listed in nofollow directory is useless, think again – nofollow directories are both passing traffic and link juice pretty well, provided the directories are high in quality.

Your thought, please.
